Carol Ann Weese

Williamsfield, Ohio - Carol Ann Weese, age 77, died on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at St. Paul Homes in Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was born on January 11, 1939 in Williamsfield, Ohio, a daughter of Leafah Gertrude (Jackson) and Sylvester Edward Johnson. A 1958 graduate of Williamsfield High School, Carol was a lifelong resident of Williamsfield. On August 12, 1961 she married Franklin Delano Weese. She worked for the former Johnson Rubber of Middlefield for eleven years and then for the former Sheffield Filter, in Sheffield, Ohio for ten years. Carol was a member of the Crossroads Fellowship Christian Church of Greenville, Pennsylvania, where she was formerly the head of the Barnabas Team. A longtime 4-H member, Carol was a Junior Leader for over ten years and a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for over fifteen years, receiving the Silver Beaver Reward. She enjoyed woodworking, making cabinets and was the Historian for the Williamsfield Township Cemeteries. Carol loved to watch college basketball and was an avid sports fan. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of thirty-one years, Franklin D. Weese and a son, Michael William Weese. Survivors include her son, Franklin E. (Debbie) Weese of Williamsfield, Ohio and two grandsons, Travis C. Weese of Erie, Pennsylvania and Brett A. (Kim) Weese of Andover, Ohio. A funeral service will be on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio with Pastor Todd Jaussen officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Saturday, June 11th from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
