Carrie E. Emrick

Carrie E. Emrick, age 86, of Andover,Ohio, died Thursday, January 15, 2015, at her son's home in Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was born November 29, 1928, in Ellwood City, PA, a daughter of William P. and Minnie B. (Snyder) Phillippi. A long time area resident, Mrs. Emrick was a homemaker. She attended the Vernon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, sewing and gardening. Mrs. Emrick loved to camp and travel throughout the United States and Canada. Mrs. Emrick married William "Cliff" Emrick on June 20, 1953. He died September 16, 2000. Also preceding her in death are her parents; her four sisters, Anna Weimer, Mary French, Pearl Stafford, and Marie Tindall; and three brothers, Tindall Phillippi, Charles Phillippi, and Calvin Phillippi. She is survived by her two sons, William Clifford (Jeanne) Emrick of Greenville, PA,and Kenneth James (Debbie) Emrick of Mansfield, LA; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two brothers, Perry (Betty) Phillippi of Ellwood City, PA, and Samuel (MaryAnn) Phillippi of Ellwood City, PA. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015, at 1:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH. Burial will follow in Johnston Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 18th from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 1955 N.
