Charles S. Provance

Williamsfield, Ohio - Charles S. Provance, age 75, formerly of Garflield Heights, died at home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. He was born on August 11, 1942, in New Geneva, Pennsylvania, a son of Ethel (Ellenberger) and Emerson Charles Provance. Chuck was a 1960 graduate of Masontown High School. He lived in Garfield Heights, Ohio for over twenty-five years while working for US Steel. After retiring, he moved to Williamsfield, Ohio. On August 18, 1963 he married Rose K. Jackowski. Chuck was formerly a member of the Bedford Baptist Church. He was a member of the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club. Chuck enjoyed tinkering with Maytag engines as well as hunting and fishing. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; a sister, Ruby Provance and two brothers, Edgar and Ralph Provance. Survivors include his wife of almost fifty-five years, Rose K. Provance; a son, Charles E. (Patricia) Provance of Brunswick, Ohio; a daughter, Carla A. (Miles) Gleaton of Kansas City, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Matthew, Kira, Leah, Annika, Bridgett, Amanda, Allison and Christa and four great grandchildren, Arianna, Phoenix, Fyfe and Emerson.
