Edwin George Martin Conner

Edwin George Martin Conner, age 54, of Williamsfield, died December 12, at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. He was born in Warren, Ohio, on September 20, 1960 to the late Eugene Robert and Helen Jo (Martin) Conner. Marty graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School and the N.E. Ohio Communications Trade School. Following which, he worked as a telephone cable splicer in Wyoming, Arizona and Pennsylvania. Returning to Ohio, Marty worked for the Ashtabula County Highway department. Marty retired from the Ohio State Parks with 30 years of service at Pymatuning State Park. He also operated a snow plowing business "Snowball Express". He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving and caring companion of six years, Barbara Kovach of Williamsfield, Daughter, Nicole of Texas, and Son, Craig of Dorset. Other survivors include his sister, Holly (Gordon) Weaver of Denmark, brothers, Bob (Charlene) Conner of Williamsfield, and O’Brien (Lori) Conner of Andover. Marty enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was very community minded; he helped start the Williamsfield Area Sports Program and the youth soccer leagues. He was past volunteer on the Andover Fire Department and Dive Team, Part time Jefferson Policeman, and he worked with and trained Search and Rescue Dogs. At the family’s request a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
