James Anthony Becar

Georgetown, Ohio - James Anthony Becar, age 91, died on Sunday, September 17, 2017. He was born on January 21, 1926 a son of Elizabeth (Sekora) and Steve Becar. Formerly of Willoughby, Ohio, Mr. Becar was an Andover resident for over twenty years, moving to Georgetown, Ohio in 2017. On April 26, 1944 he was inducted into the United States Army and served as an light army truck driver in the European Theater of World War II and was discharged on June 11, 1946. He was a member of Andover V.F.W. no 9519 and the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Becar owned and operated Andover Convenient FoodMart. Mr. Becar is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Joseph, Andrew and John Becar. Survivors include a daughter, Martha Jordan; three sons, James Becar, Martin Becar and Phillip Becar; six grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
