Kelden James Martinez

Kelden James Martinez, age 7, of Greene township, OH, died Saturday, June 2, 2018. He was born February 25, 2011, in Warren, Ohio, a son of Lance S. Martinez and Whitney R. (Morrow) Martinez. Kelden was a student at Maplewood Elementary School where he just finished 1st grade. He enjoyed playing baseball and soccer, collecting stuffed animals especially monkeys, and he was an avid Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan. Kelden loved Mexican food, chocolate milk, and to dress up in a shirt and tie. He was a hard worker and had a sense of humor having loved to pull pranks on people. He attended the Leavittsburg Church of God in Warren. Kelden is survived by his father, Lance S. Martinez of Cortland, OH; his mother, Whitney R. Martinez of Greene township, OH; his brother, Kyre Martinez, and his sister, Delaney Martinez, both of Greene township, OH; maternal grandparents, Richard and Lynne Morrow of Wayne township, OH; paternal grandparents, James and Donna Blizzard of Birmingham, AL; maternal great grandparents, Melvin and Melvena Beebe of Jefferson,OH; paternal great grandparent, Elden Stowell of Indiana; aunt, Carolyn Morrow, uncle, Rick Morrow, uncle, Gabe Martinez, uncle and aunt, Mark (Jackie) Blizzard; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Pete Martinez; and paternal great grandmother, Alyce Stowell. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 7th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH. A funeral service to remember and honor Kelden's life will be on Friday, June 8, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A memorial luncheon will be held following the service. Cremation will follow services and a private burial of cremated remains will take place in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne township, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to set up a Maplewood Scholarship Fund.
