Mary Louise Gerrick

Mary Louise Gerrick, age 87, of Andover, Ohio, died Thursday, March 26, 2015, at her home. She was born February 15, 1928, in Conneaut, Ohio, a daughter of John and Mable (Williams) Fogle. A resident of Andover for the past 5 years, Mrs. Gerrick was formerly a long time Cherry Valley township resident. She was employed for many years at Andover Industries, retiring in 1988. In earlier years, Mrs. Gerrick enjoyed working the refreshment stand for her son's football games; and she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and sewing. She mostly loved to spend time with her grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her entire family. Mrs. Gerrick is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joseph Gerrick, Jr., whom she married February 28, 1948, of Andover; her daughter, Mary (Richard) Orr of Kinsman, OH; her three grandchildren, Kim Searl, Rich Orr, and Joe Gerrick IV; her two great grandchildren, Lexie Orr and Joe Gerrick V; her brother, Jack Fogle of Andover; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joseph Gerrick III in 2012; and ten brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 12:00 Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Cherry Valley Cemetery.
