Christine L. Rosner

Christine L. Rosner, age 88, of Kinsman,OH, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, OH. She was born November 23, 1927, in Kinsman,OH, a daughter of George and Emily (Dorman) Hanawalt. A long time Kinsman area resident, Mrs. Rosner had formerly been a resident of Jefferson for many years. She was a 1945 graduate of Vernon High School; and she earned her Bachelor Degree in Education from the Ohio State University in 1949. She was employed as a Business teacher for several schools throughout her career; and she helped her second husband, Henry, operate the Jefferson Motel for many years as well. Mrs. Rosner was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church and Eastern Star; and she was an avid Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeye fan. Most of all she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Paul (Jan) Miller of Eastlake, OH, Emily Miller of Cincinnati,OH, and Barbara (Terry) Downing of Kinsman,OH; her two step daughters, Dianne Osborne and Marsha (Roger) Divine, both of Jefferson,OH; and devoted grandmother to her 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Rosner; step son-in-law, Roger Osborne; a grandson and his wife, Gregory and Melissa Osborne; and her three brothers, William, Russell, and Gerry Hanawalt. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 15th from 11:00 AM until the memorial service at 12:00 Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Rev. Susan Francis officiating. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Kinsman Cemetery.
