Vernon, Ohio - Dewey James Cutlip, age 80, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. He was born on December 14, 1938, in Bergoo, West Virginia a son of Mirtie Jo (Clutter) and Waldon Lee Cutlip. Dewey was a 1958 graduate of Richwood High School in Richwood, West Virginia. After high school, Dewey served in the United States Army, with Company B in the 304th Signal Battalion. He worked for L & G Smith Construction, QSI Construction of Allison Park, Pennsylvania and then Protech of Youngstown. Dewey worked as and iron worker (Local 17) and with sheet medal (Local 33) working for both the unions often serving as the project supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating, but most of all he loved being with his family and could fix almost anything, being available anytime he was needed. Dewey is preceded in death by his parents, step-dad, Richard Belew, step-daughter, Teresa Mitchell, brother, Billy Cutlip and his first wife, Patricia Jean (Collins) Cutlip. Survivors include his wife of seventeen years, Wanda Irene (Wilmouth) Cutlip of Vernon, Ohio; son, James F. (Donna) Cutlip of Fowler, Ohio; daughter, Heather J. (Michael) Bowser of Kinsman, Ohio; step-daughter, Tina R. (Gary) Fogle of Johnston, Ohio and Jean R. Womer of Hubbard, Ohio; step-sons, Terry E. (Sharon)Core, James E. (Pam) Core both of Fairmont West Virginia and David R. (Susan) Core of Hubbard, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Brandon J. Cutlip, Brent J. Cutlip, Brandy M. Cutlip, Thomas P. McGinty, Vincent D. Darienzo, Audrey L. Bowser, Hannah E. Bowser, Jacob A. Fogle and Michael Thorn; seventeen step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren, Luciana Stella Darienzo, Sutton Thorn, Hunter Thorn and Tesea Thorn and Brother, Robert Cutlip of Galivants Ferry, North Carolina. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2016 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
