John Duane Draa

Farmdale, Ohio - John Duane Draa, age 66, died on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on February 4, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Ruth May (Dickey) and Kenneth Leroy Draa. John attended the Joseph Badger High School until serving in the United State Army spending over a year in Vietnam. He was a longtime mechanic and worked for the former Monroe Muffler and Brake of Niles for over fifteen years until they closed. John would visit the VA and spend time with other veterans. He enjoyed gardening, building models and various wood working projects. John was known for feeding anyone who came his way especially his children and grandchildren. His is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Keith L. Draa. Survivors include his daughter, Tracey J. (Aaron) Stowe of Masury, Ohio; his son, Travis J. (Britney) Draa of Girard, Ohio; six grandchildren, Patrick, Mark, Zack, Keira, Austin and Gaven and two great granddaughters, Natalie and Leanna. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106.
