Farmdale, Ohio - Juanita C. Muir, age 90, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on July 27, 1925 in Greene, Ohio, a daughter of Martha (Armstrong) and Charles W. Carter. Mrs. Muir was a 1943 graduate of Greene High School. On September 17, 1948 she married Willard S. "Bill" Muir. She worked for the former Cleveland Brass in Kinsman and was an assembly line worker for twenty-five years at Packard retiring in 1991. Mrs. Muir was a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church, the Trumbull County Farm Bureau and the Ladies Auxiliary of former Burdette Totten VFW Post. She loved her family, neighbors, and following all of her grandchildrens' activities. Mrs. Muir enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes , reading and following politics and was a Cleveland Indians fan. Mrs. Muir is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-eight years, Bill Muir; a daughter, Linda M. Muir; two brothers, Charles Carter, II and William Carter; four half-sisters, Elnae Carter-Wollam, Erma Carter-Evans, Wilma Carter-Rogers and Elma Housel and three half-brothers, Kenneth Carter, Cleo Carter and Ward Housel Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl M. (Alan) Thompson of North Lima, Ohio, Patricia M. (Wayne) Rodgers of Hartford, Ohio and Joan R. (Joe) McElhinny of Greenville, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Jarred (Gigi) Mitchell, Julie (Zach) Krasa, Janie McElhinny, Brian and Tommy (Gina)Titus, Trisha (T.J.)Irons and Andrea Rodgers Smith, fourteen great grandchildren, Jackie, Ciera, Kat, Ben, Emily, Reagan, Ali, Gavin, Tommy, Nick, Easton, Cameron, Brooke, Kira. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio with Reverends Susan Frances and Mary Ann Rufener. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 29th from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
