Alene E. Hall, 84 years old, of Kinsman, Ohio, died on Saturday, August 7, 2004, in Forest View Health Care Center in Erie, PA. Alene was born on January 4, 1920, in Kinsman to the late Harry R. White and the late Ethyle M. (Drake) White. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Hall was a 1937 graduate of Gustavus High School. She married Leland M. Hall on February 9, 1940. Together with her husband, they Dairy Farmed and in 1961 to 1982, they owned and operated Hall's Texaco Station in Williamsfield, Ohio. Mrs. Hall was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Andover, and a former member of the First Congregational Church of Wayne, Ohio. She was an active volunteer for the Kinsman Nutrition Site and Country Neighbor of Andover, and was involved in the Wayne Historical Society and the Missionary Society at the Wayne Congregational Church. Mrs. Hall supported the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club and enjoyed quilting and doing crafts and was known to make the best bread in Ashtabula County. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leland on February 11, 1982, and a grandson, Ronald Erik rose. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda A. Rose of Woodbridge, VA; Karen L. (Jerry) Rose of Rock Creek, OH; and Loretta S. Leszunov of Erie, PA; her son, David L. (Patricia) Hall of Meredith, NH; her four sisters, Correne Nicholas of Williamsfield, OH; Doris Holdcroft of Austin, TX; Carol Braden of Cortland, OH; and Marilyn Smith of Johnston, OH; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with the Reverend Scott A. Ressman officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missionary Society of Wayne Congregational Church.
