Jamestown, Pennsylvania -  Bettysue Hester Krumpe, age 92, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 25, 1931, in Marlinton, West Virginia, one of nine children of Lula Flossie (Smith) and Walter Franklin Jackson.
Betty was a 1951 graduate of Marlinton High School. On March 4, 1961, she married Arthur Charles Krumpe. A Kinsman resident for most of her life, Betty and Chuck moved to Jamestown, Pennsylvania, to be near family for the last several years.
A devoted homemaker known for her exceptional care for her home and her boys, she will be remembered for the joy she found in spending time with her family and creating delicious meals through her passion for cooking and baking. Betty's sweet and loving personality touched the hearts of all who knew her. She was a devoted follower of Christ and loved to listen and sing hymns to His glory.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty-two years, Chuck Krumpe; and six brothers, Oris, Alfred, Howard, Guy, Ward, and Elmer Jackson. Her legacy lives on through her three sons, Jonathan D. (Joyce) Krumpe, Aaron J. (Elizabeth) Krumpe both of Jamestown, Pennsylvania, and Daniel C. (Mara) Krumpe of Brazil; two granddaughters Zipporah and Jennilyn; two sisters Evelyn Sparks of Marlinton, West Virginia, and Eleanor (Clifford) Hamrick of Mill Creek, West Virginia; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care given to Betty in her last months to her niece, Sharon, and hospice nurse, Marlene, and aide Amber. No public services will be held. Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service of Kinsman, Ohio handled the arrangements. Share a fond memory or condolence at www.baumgardnerfuneralhome.com
