Corinne G. Coon

Corinne Grace Coon, of Wayne, Ohio, age 95, died on April 9, 2005, in Jefferson, Ohio. Mrs. Coon was a daughter of Vinton W. and Grace (Reed) Switzer, and spent most of her life in Wayne, Ohio. She was a 1927 graduate of Wayne High School. She married Lloyd W. Coon in 1931. Mrs. Coon was a homemaker, who passed her love of reading on to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and tatting. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in July of 1976; infant son, Claire Coon, three brothers and their wives, J. Fred and Liana Switzer; Ernest W. and Grace Switzer; and C. Vinton and Mable Switzer; and infant sister, Enid Switzer; and two sisters and their husbands, Margaret L. and Evert Hamilton; and Lucy J. and Fermer Plank. She is survived by two daughters and husbands, Ellen E. and Warren Thompson of Bethesda, MD; and Thelma I. and Guy Parish of Chino Valley, AZ; four sons and wives, Howard I and Gay Coon of Berkshire, NY; Arthur L. and Beverly Coon of Wayne, OH; Gerald E. and Alice Coon of Andover, OH; and Darl L. and Karen (deceased) Coon of Jefferson, OH. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with burial to follow in Hayes Cemetery.
