Donna Lee Haapala

Donna Lee Haapala, 51 years old, of Mentor, OH, died on Friday, February 13, 2004, at Lake East Hospital in Painesville, OH. Donna was born on September 9, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio. She married Richard P. Haapala on March 14, 1981. Mrs. Haapala worked for many years as a home health care aide. She was active in the Ashtabula Parent Teachers Organization and also with various fundraising efforts. She was a very creative person and enjoyed decorating her house and making crafts. She is survived by her husband, Richard P. Haapala of Mentor, OH; her daughter, Elise Duwe of Burton, OH; her son, Richard Sprague of Burton, OH; her parents, Richard P. and Ruthann (Paugh) Sprague of Williamsfield, OH; her brother, Richard S. Sprague of Jacksonville, FL; and her grandson, Devin. Mrs. Haapala will be cremated and there will be no services. Baumgardner Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
