Genevieve M. Virostek, 82 years old, of Cherry Valley, Ohio, died on Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Mary Chiles Hospital, Mt. Sterling, KY. Genevieve was born on January 29, 1922, at South Fork, PA, to the late Robert W. Bowser and the late Stella (Krachinski) Bowser. Formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Virostek was a Cherry Valley resident for the past 50 years. Mrs. Virostek worked for Andover Industries of Andover, Ohio, for 10 years. She was a member of the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Andover. She married John M. Virostek on May 24, 1941. He died on September 29, 1992. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Josephine Bowser, Margaret Russo, Florence Fricker, three brothers, Robert, Ephraim and James Bowser, and a grandson, Philip Virostek. She is survived by her daughter, Genevieve M. Virostek of Cleveland, OH; her son, John M. (Charlene) Virostek of Lyndhurst, OH; her daughter, Barbara A. (Lonnie) Lambert of Moorehead, KY; her son, Barry G. (Lucille) Virostek of Mentor, OH; her daughter, Marykay (Robert) Shetler of Williamsfield, OH; her daughter, Gloria J. (Patrick) Hutchingon of Wesley Chapel, FL; Veronica M. (Paul) Dauerman of Columbus, OH; her sisters, Stella Purge, Lillian Bloom, Carrie Turner, Verna Salupo, her brothers, Enoch Bowser, Roosevelt Bowser, William Bowser, twelve grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 South Main Street, Andover, Ohio, with Father David M. Misbrener officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. and from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. and prior to the service, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio.
