Vernon, Ohio-Harold James Pinkerton, Jr., age 59, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 20, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Born January 10, 1965, in Union City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harold James Pinkerton, Sr., and Ellen Louise (Christy) Pinkerton.
After graduating from Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Academy in 1983, Jim went on to earn his bachelor’s in religious education at Allegheny Wesleyan College in Salem, Ohio. For twenty-five years, he worked as a  State Tested Nursing Assistant. Jim started his career in Pennsylvania and cancer ended his career after working for Concord Care Center in Cortland for seventeen years. Jim was known for his dedication to his career and his compassionate nature towards others.  On September 18, 1997, Jim married his beloved wife, Regina Rebecca Zeigler.
A faithful member of the Bible Methodist Church, Jim’s dedication to his faith was unwavering. Jim actively participated in the church community, where his caring nature and kind spirit touched the lives of many. A twenty-year member of the Bible Methodist Church, Jim recently became a member of Salem Bible Methodist Church.
Outside of work, Jim found joy in simple pleasures such as writing poetry, reading, and drawing. These hobbies showcased his creative side and provided him with moments of peace and reflection. Some of Jim's defining traits was his deep love for his family and an unwavering devotion to His Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Martha Jane Pinkerton. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of twenty-six years, Regina Pinkerton of Vernon, Ohio; ten children,
Mark Pinkerton, of Statesville, North Carolina, Matthew (Jessica) Pinkerton, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Keisha Pinkerton, of Meadville, Pennsylvania, Danielle (Christian) Claycomb, of Duncannon, Pennsylvania, Michael Pinkerton of Salem, Ohio, Sarah Pinkerton of Vernon, Ohio, Shelly (Thomas) Griffin of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Kirsten Pinkerton of Vernon, Ohio, Mary Pinkerton of Delmont, Pennsylvania,  and Alyssa Pinkerton of Warren, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren, with one on the way; two brothers, Stephen Pinkerton of Kimball, Nebraska, Daniel (Wilma) Pinkerton of Mooresville, North Carolina; two sisters, Esther (Bill) Warren of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Susan Pinkerton of North Platte, Nebraska, along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. David W. Crosley officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery of Vernon, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
