Isaphene S. Buterbaugh, 86 years old, of Greenville, PA, died on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, in St. Paul Homes Health Center in Greenville, PA. Isaphene was born on March 6, 1918, in Atlantic, PA, to the late Francis C. Wright and the late Laura L. (Williams) Wright Redfoot. A former long time Andover resident, Mrs. Buterbaugh has lived in Greenville, Pennsylvania, for the past 4 years. She was employed by Blazon, Inc. in Jamestown, PA, for several years. She owned and operated the Lighthouse Tavern in Andover for over 29 years. During World War II, she worked at Greenville Steel Car Company as a welder. Mrs. Buterbaugh attended the Frist Congregational United Church of Christ in Andover, and she was a lifetime member of the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and Blue Star Mothers. Mrs. Buterbaugh married Walter F. Buterbaugh on June 2, 1962. He died in 2002. Also preceding her in death are her parents; her first husband, John L. Waid, Sr.; her daughter, Peggy I. Cadman; and step sister, Pearl M. Anthony. She is survived by her daughter, Dona V. R. Drnek of Adamsville, PA; her son, John L. Waid, Jr., of Greenville, PA; her sister, Betty Barber of Greenville, PA; her four step brothers, William Redfoot of Cochranton, PA; Scott Redfoot of Greenville, PA; Robert Redfoot of Maulden, MO; and Howard Redfoot of Manheim, PA; her step sister, Betty Rose Fields of Auburndale, FL; her six grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2004, at 1:00p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Anodver, Ohio, with Reverend Scott Ressman officiating. Burial will follow in Stevenson Cemetery, Greenville, PA. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 11:00a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
