Jason M. Halverson, age 43, of Gustavus township, OH, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was born February 20, 1975, in Cleveland,OH, a son of Roy R. and Alma L. (Kinkaid) Halverson. Formerly a long time resident of Parma where he graduated from Normandy High School in 1993, Jason had been living in Gustavus township since 2007. He was employed for 18 years by General Motors in Parma and Lordstown. Jason was an avid outdoorsman having loved to hunt, fish, and kayak; and he always saw and enjoyed the beauty of outdoors. He also loved to go metal detecting, hunt and collect arrowheads, and have cookouts with his family. He was a Jack of all trades and could fix anything. Jason is survived by his wife, Darlene J. (Hall) Halverson, whom he married October 2, 1993, of Gustavus; his three sons, Dylan L. Halverson, Jacob A. Halverson, and Owen G. Halverson, all of Gustavus; his parents, Roy and Alma Halverson of Nokomis, FL; sister, Alma J. Chambers of Cleveland,OH, sister, Donna M. Loparo of Winter Springs, FL, sister, Connie L. O'Malley of Venice, FL, brother, Roy E.J. Halverson of Parma, OH, sister, Shannon, C. Emrich of Sarasota, FL, brother, Kyle P.C. Halverson of Venice, FL; his father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Marlene Hall of Bedford, OH; five sister-in-laws, Loretta, Charlotte, Sandy, Jennifer, and Jessica; many nieces and nephews; and he was a father figure to Jacob Wix of Gustavus. He is preceded in death by two nephews, Billy and Chad Barley. A private service will be held for family.
