Konner Alexander Fetters

August 28, 2003 — April 1, 2024

New Lyme, Ohio

Konner Alexander Fetters, age 20, gained his wings on Monday, April 1, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio, after a brief illness, that took him far too soon. On August 28, 2003, he entered the world in Mayfield, Ohio, the son of Sarah B. (Kolehmainen) and Derick R. Fetters, bringing with him a spirit that would touch the lives of those around him in profound ways.
Konner was a young soul with a heart full of kindness and care. He graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School in 2022. Konner's love of flying led him to further education at Vector Aviation of Willoughby, Ohio, where he nurtured his passion for flying. Konner enjoyed flying through the skies, and was striving towards his dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot. Konner always said it was better in the sky, than on the ground.
In his all-too-short life, Konner accomplished feats that many spend a lifetime dreaming of. He found joy in playing softball in summer leagues and engaging in friendly basketball matches with his friends. If he wasn’t at the airport, on the field or court, you could find him at the golf course. Konner's dedication and hard work saw him in securing a full-time position at All Trades Construction of Girard, Ohio, working on a variety of projects. He was determined to learn the trades and to begin flipping houses because he believed if he worked hard, he could make anything gold.
He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Jack Kolehmainen. Konner leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his surviving family and friends. His parents, Sarah & Derick Fetters of New Lyme, Ohio; sisters, Jordyn E. Fetters and Addyson F. Fetters at home; nana, Elizabeth “Betty” Kolehmainen of Andover, Ohio, papa and nana, Reid & Camille Fetters of New Lyme, Ohio, grandma and grandpa, Debbie & Dave Kohta of Williamsfield, Ohio, girlfriend, Brooke Mercer of Wayne, Ohio, and his best bud, his fur brother, Asher, who he loved greatly. He leaves behind many family and friends that meant a lot to him and all whom will mourn deeply, for Konner touched their lives profoundly.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 5:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Andover, 181 South Main Street, Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Jason Hockran officiating. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 7th from 2:00 PM until the time of services.
Though Konner Alexander Fetters may no longer walk beside us physically, his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts as we remember the young man who brought light into our lives through his kindness and gentle spirit. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished by all who had the privilege to know him. We shall always look to the sky for his wings.
