Laura Sarvey

Laura “Kate” Anna Catherine Sarvey, age 88, of Andover, passed away on February 15, 2024, at Jefferson Healthcare. Born January 14, 1936, in Miola, PA, she was the last surviving child of the late Linus J. and Vernie M (Bush) Kahnell. Over the years, Laura worked as a typist, waitress, and a newspaper delivery person. She was a member of the Junior Girl Scouts and will always be remembered for her love of cats.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dean Authur Sarvey; daughter Cathy; an infant child; grandson Benjamin; her brothers LeRoy and Earl; and sister Chelsea.

Laura is survived by her daughters Darlene, Rita, Anita, Esther, and Paula; sons Keith, Dale, Carl, Glenn, Gene, and Mark; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Laura will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 1pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, OH 44003 with Bishop Gary Brooks officiating. No calling hours will be observed. A private burial will be held.
