Richard P. Moreland, age 81, of Williamsfield,OH, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA. He was born November 5, 1933, in Erie, PA, a son of William J. and Leola E. (Collins) Moreland. A resident of Williamsfield since 1993, Mr. Moreland was formerly of Willoughby Hills, Ohio. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Army. He was employed as a machinist. Mr. Moreland attended the Williamsfield United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion and the Studebaker Club. Mr. Moreland is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen (Combs) Moreland, whom he married April 6, 1957, of Williamsfield; his daughter, Susan (Chris) Naughton of Andover, OH; his three sons, Brian (Liane) Moreland of Meriden, CT, William (Myriam) Moreland of Cleveland, OH, and Ronald (Leeann) Moreland of Cleveland,OH; his brother, Eugene (Norma) Moreland of Oregon; his 6 Grandchildren; and 12 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Michelle Moore; his brother, Nelson Moreland; and his three sisters, Elizabeth Ohringe, Mary Lundburg, and Helen Riche. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 1:00 PM at the Williamsfield United Methodist Church, corner of Rt. 7 and 322, Williamsfield,OH, with Pastor Pat Seger officiating.
