Robert R. Jordan, Sr., 69 years old, of Espyville, PA, died at home on Saturday, January 24, 2004. Robert was born on March 14, 1934, in Espville, PA, to the late Earl M. Jordan and the late Lovica (Steen) Jordan. A life long Espyville resident, Mr. Jordan worked for RMI in Ashtabula, Ohio, for over 28 years, retiring in 1991. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a superviser at North Shenago Volunteer Fire Department earlier in his life. He attended the North Shenago Presbyterian Church, and was a member of American Legion Post #462, Linesville, PA. Mr. Jordan married Helen (Nottingham) on August 5, 1961. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseshoes. He was preceded in death by a son, James Whiteman; brothers, Edward and Ernest Jordan; sisters, Kathyrn Money and Imogene Peck; and brothers-in-law, Budd Burlingham and Donald Peck. He is survived by his wife, Helen M. Jordan of Espyville, PA; his daughters, La Vica J. (Norman) Charboneau of Espyville, PA; and Robin M. (Dan) Tighe of Williamsfield, OH; his sons, Robert R. (Danean) Jordan, Jr. of Jamestown, PA; and Donald M. (Carol) Whiteman of Linesville, PA; and daughter, Edna L. (Adolph) Onderko of Linesville, PA; three sisters, Joanne Burlingham of Andover, OH; Peggy (Paul) Mullen of Andover, OH; and Eloise Peck of Geneva, OH; brother, Lloyd (Winifred) Jordan of Austinburg, OH; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Jordan of TX and Hazel Jordan of Andover, OH; brother-in-law, Charles Peck of FL; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Per Mr. Jordan's wishes, he was cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2004, at the North Shenago Presybterian Church in Espyville, PA, at 11:00a.m. Burial of cremated remains will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to: North Shenago Volunteer Fire Dept. or North Shenago Presbyterian Church.
