Thomas W. Case, Sr., 87 years old, of Andover, Ohio, died on Monday, November 29, 2004, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. Mr. Case was born on July 10, 1917, in Andover, Ohio, to the late Hugh L. Case and the late Lizzie Mabel (Thompson) Case. A lifelong Andover, Ohio, resident, Mr. Case had worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad, then the New York Central Railroad, and finally with Bessemer Lake Erie Railroad retiring in 1979. He also owned and operated his own farm. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Case was a member of the Leon United Methodist Church in Richmond Twp., Ohio, the Ashtabula County Farm Bureau, and the Dairy Farmers of America. He married Ellen H. Siekkinen on May 19, 1947, and was preceded in death by her on January 21, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Clarissa S. Warman. Mr. Case enjoyed gardening and reading. He is survived by his son, John H. Case of Andover, OH; his son, Thomas W. Case, Jr., of Andover, OH; his daughter, Kathryn E. Kelly of Hartstown, PA; his daughter, Kristine J. Kinnison of Carrollton, OH; and his daughter, Karen G. Mathews of Vienna, OH; 12 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2004, at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, at 10:00a.m. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in Andover.
